Shots, Vaccines and Vets

Rabbits are super easy. They don’t require any shots or vaccines in the USA. In Europe there are some vaccines for afflictions like myxomatosis and RHDV2. And while there is currently an RHDV2 outbreak in Mexico it has not spread to the greater portion of the US. If your rabbit gets fleas or ticks the vet will prescribe a smaller dosage of feline flea and tick treatment. Other than that unless you’re getting your rabbit fixed or chipped you only need to go into the vet when your rabbit is sick. And 99% of the time if your rabbit is sick you’ll be sent home with flavored antibiotics and any symptoms should clear up within a couple weeks.
