Our Successes

Sami Bunnington was part of a 20+ sibling group that was brought after 17 different shelters and rescues turned them away. She had to be hand nursed along with her siblings. She is now happily rehomed with a lovely family.

Snowball and Oliver are a bonded pair of neutered buck Lionhead mix rabbits whose owners had to move out of state. Rather than risk the rabbits health with travel they decided to Rehome. This was an incredible sacrifice for the safety of the rabbits. Luckily we were able to reach out to our network and find homes specifically for these two where they will be loved and cared for always.

Winnie was a 7 year old Polish doe. She has had a pretty tough life so she is grumpy and energetic. Given her advanced age she needed to go to a home that's loving and understands that she may not be long for this world. As sad as this is she was able to find a permanent loving home with a nice young couple recently engaged. This is one of the more heart warming stories we have to share.

Samantha and one of her 1st litter have been rehomed. Others of her litter still need homes. She came to us so malnourished that her second litter was born underdeveloped and they all died. I'm just glad we were able to save her and all of the first litter.

This is Millie formerly Marti. She was a 6 month old Lionhead Doe. Her previous owner recently got COVID and was no longer able to care for her. She is adorable and mild mannered and has now found a loving home.

Harlequin has finally been rehomed! She was the last one of an unwanted litter. She has been with us for over a year. We are sad to see her go, but we know she's going to a good home.

Hans was rescued by a concerned citizen. He was in a bad situation so a concerned citizen paid to take him and bring him to the rescue. Note: if you purchase a rabbit from a bad situation and try to turn it over to a rescue you take responsibility for that rabbit. Furthermore you are basically paying the bad people thus encouraging them when you should be paying the rescue. Food for thought.

Flower and Dagger were Rex sisters whose owner went off to college and wasn't allowed to have rabbits in the dorms. Regulations involving living situations are probably the #1 reason we receive rabbits. Fewer and fewer rentals allow pets at all displacing a lot of happy animals from otherwise good living situations.

The Fluffle were a group of Lionhead mix babies from an accidental litter. We were able to find them all homes using our network of rescues. A special thanks goes out to Lakeside Lionhead Rescue for their assistance in placing all these little cuties in such a timely manner!

Pumpkin was adopted and made her way back to us. While this is disheartening we are glad she came back to us vs being released. We were able to Rehome her again pretty quickly. She was a charming sweet natured rabbit so it wasn't difficult finding her a place to call home.

Marshmallow and Tatertot were broken red New Zealand siblings. They were both rehomed and then Marshmallow made his way back to us when the new owner developed cancer and could no longer take care of him (renamed Ash). So Marshmallow(now Ash) was rehomed again after that. Let's hope this new home sticks!

Rubio was adopted by a lovely woman living out in the country. He along with another rabbit named Ruby were adopted at the same time and are living out their days in a beautiful countryside homemade hutch with plenty of room to run and play and socialize.

Hammel was our very first rescue rabbit. He was released into the neighborhood and rescued from a neighbors dog by some concerned citizens. He was covered in fleas and ticks. After a couple weeks of treatment he recovered from his scars and we got rid of all his parasites. He was a kind and loving rabbit. He died a year later in our care from natural causes without having found a home. While he is gone he will never be forgotten.

Wednesday was a little spitfire. Dropped of by a caring mother who's child was given an animal carelessly, she wanted her to have a good and loving home. Children's attention can be fleeting. Wednesday was well cared for and though she was a little feisty she found a home a couple months later where she is extremely happy and well loved!

Snowflakes owner developed an allergy to the rabbit and could no longer care for her. She was cleaned up and found her forever home.

Rusty found a new home with a lovely young couple out in the country. He is now a stud rabbit on a farm living the dream!

Oliver was a birthday present for a little girl. He did make his way back to us months later when the mother became ill and was no longer able to have an animal in the house. He was then rehomed to a farm to be a full time stud. He was well cared for, but life happens. We aren't here to judge, simply to help. 

Moon formerly Luna was supposed to be a female Lionhead, but turned out to be a male rex mix. The result when paired with his female roommate was a litter of babies most of which died from being separated from their mother too soon. Because he was continually kept with his mate after she gave birth she was pregnant again and we were able to save 3 of 4 babies in the second litter and the mother. Moon was eventually rehomed along with the litter that was born in our custody. 

Theodore was a Lionhead mix rabbit surrendered to us by a woman who rescued him, but had to move out of state to take care of an ill family member. Luckily we were here to help him transition to a new home.

Fern and Clover were two of the three surviving babies from the litter of Speckle and Moon. They both were rehomed as sisters to a loving family where they can run and play. Their third sister is one of our permanent rabbits here at the facility because she wanted to stay we made her a home here and named her Gimli.

Count Valentinos owner fell into a deep depression and was no longer able to care for him. He was surrendered to us by the mother who owns a cat rescue. Although he was a little grouchy having free roam of a house filled with feline friends he was able to find a really good home.

Gretel was brought to us by a landlord who's tenant abandoned the her in 95 degree weather in Florida in her hutch. She is a grey Dutch female approximately 1 year old and appears to have had one litter. When she arrived her nails had grown so long they twisted and contorted and we clipped about an inch off of each nail to get it down to the appropriate size. Rabbits nails should be clipped monthly. Her scent glands hadn't been cleaned in her whole life more than likely so it was like washing sticky raisins out of her groin. She was rehomed safely where she passed.

Ruby along with Rubio were safely rehomed to a lovely woman in the countryside.

Cuvigg Mimm was rehomed to a rabbit breeder and renamed Jack. Jack then made it back to us from a New Zealand Breeder which was dismantled because of an HOA and some nosy neighbors. He was a fully pedigreed NZR from North Carolina costing several hundred dollars. Now he has been safely rehomed with his girlfriend.

Sugar was rehomed with Jack as a breeding pair and is from the same Rabbitry that was dismantled. I'm glad they were able to be kept together. They have survived the trip from North Carolina and their first Rabbitry together and will continue to keep each other company permanently bonded to a lovely lady in Inverness.

Tom was rehomed to a lovely family out in the country. We had a lot of New Zealand Reds to rehome in 2022, as several rabbitries had been dismantled. In 2023 we have had to rehome a lot of Lionheads. Tom was the last of the NZR rehomes. He has a happy new family with a Broken Red New Zealand doe.

Thor was rehomed from the same Rabbitry as Jack to a nice military family out by the new space force base. He already has a girlfriend from another Rabbitry and is happy as a clam.

This group of nine rabbits came from a single household. The owner was moving out of state and could take five of her fourteen rabbits, but could not safely take all of them in the move. Luckily we were able to offer a number of advertising services and get them all rehomed. While this was a large undertaking while we were already over capacity we made it work.

This group is a combination of four litters with the same father (Papa Bear) that were rescued when we were at capacity under duress. The woman had called 17 different rescues and shelters and no one would help her. We decided not to turn her away and saved over 30 rabbit lives as a result. We have rehomed almost all of them and these remaining 4 need good homes.
